SOUTHERN MARYLAND SO GOODSouthern Maryland So Good is not just a new guide that promotes Southern Maryland’s freshest and best at area Farmers' Markets, it's also a “buy local” campaign launched through the non-profit Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission. It is specifically designed to encourage local consumers to learn about and purchase local farm products.
The fun, user friendly brochure guides you to the area’s farmers' markets and is unique in that it promotes markets in our Southern Maryland counties and greater Metro DC area where you can find the finest and freshest fruits, vegetables, baked goods and other delicious farm products grown exclusively on Southern Maryland farms.
A “What’s at Market” harvesting chart navigates you through Southern Maryland’s year round growing season and pin points the optimal time when your favorite farm product is most likely to be available; including strawberries, apples, bedding plants, melons, corn, tomatoes, kale, Christmas trees, and much more.
